PROTON Unveils the All-New X50: Malaysia’s No.1 B-Segment SUV Returns with Bold Upgrades. PROTON has officially launched the All-New PROTON X50, the next-generation version of Malaysia’s best-selling B-segment SUV. First introduced in 2020, the X50 has made a significant impact on the local automotive market, reshaping expectations for compact SUVs and selling over 140,000 units nationwide. The All-New X50 showcases a bold design evolution, incorporating a more refined and dynamic look. It also boasts improved ADAS Level 2 safety features, a massive 14.6-inch infotainment display, and the world’s first Bahasa Melayu voice command system, making high-tech convenience more accessible to Malaysian drivers. Under the hood, the new 1.5TD i-GT engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), delivers 133 kW of power and 290 Nm of torque, propelling the vehicle from 0–100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds—0.3 seconds faster than its predecessor. Impressively, this performance upgrade comes with a 4.7% improvement in fuel efficiency.
