After six long years of anticipation, “The Journey to the Far East: Maher Zain, The Live Experience (Kuala Lumpur)” lit up the stage at Idea Live Arena, 3 Damansara last night. Organized by Yayasan Tengku Abdullah (YTA) in collaboration with official concert promoters Hitman Solutions and Happymoon, the event brought together more than 5,000 fans who celebrated the long-awaited return of the world-renowned spiritual music artist. By late afternoon, crowds had already begun filling the venue, with audiences ranging from teenagers and young couples to entire families with children, reflecting Maher Zain’s appeal across generations.
The night opened with “Assalamu Alayka,” one of Maher Zain’s most iconic songs, instantly transforming the hall into a chorus of unified voices. For nearly two hours, he delivered a heartfelt performance featuring beloved tracks that have shaped the spiritual journeys of millions of listeners worldwide. Songs such as “InshaAllah,” “Alayka Salla Allah,” “Baraka Allahu Lakuma,” “Close To You,” and “For The Rest of My Life” filled the air, creating moments of reflection, emotion, and unity.
