The Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) made a strong return with its 18th edition, held from September 29 to August 1, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Carrying the theme “Fostering Diplomacy, Achieving Global Prosperity,” the conference gathered 1,000 young delegates from 45 nations across Asia, North America, and beyond. From countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan to Mexico, the United States, and Canada, participants came together to simulate United Nations sessions and engage in rational, collaborative, and solution-driven dialogue on pressing global issues.

Throughout the four-day conference, delegates immersed themselves in debates, negotiations, and interactive discussions that not only sharpened their diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking skills but also expanded their perspectives through exposure to diverse cultural and intellectual backgrounds. AYIMUN’s platform provides participants with opportunities to network internationally and to gain insights that will serve them in their academic, professional, and personal development.

The 18th edition built on the momentum of AYIMUN 17th, which featured councils addressing complex global issues such as intergenerational poverty, healthcare in conflict areas, human rights violations, stunting in Southeast Asia, carbon pricing in international trade, sustainable tourism, artificial intelligence in the labor market, and the impact of money laundering on economic equity. These topics reflected the wide-ranging challenges facing today’s world and the importance of youth involvement in shaping viable solutions.

AYIMUN 18th was officially registered under Pusat Prestasi Nasional (Puspresnas) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, strengthening its position as a credible international youth forum. By encouraging constructive dialogue and empowering young voices, the conference highlighted the role of youth as a foundation for building a future that prioritizes justice, safety, and sustainability.

Following the success of the Kuala Lumpur event, International Global Network has announced upcoming conferences, including the 12th Asia World Model United Nations (AWMUN), which will be held from October 10 to 13, 2025, in Bali, Indonesia, and AYIMUN 19th, scheduled for November 21 to 24, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. Both conferences aim to continue fostering youth leadership and international collaboration in addressing global challenges.
