Accor Accelerates Growth in Asia with Major Openings and Strategic Signings in 2025. Accor, a global leader in hospitality, continues to strengthen its position in Asia through an impressive series of hotel signings and openings in 2025. With a development pipeline of over 230 hotels representing nearly 60,000 rooms across the region, the Group’s expansion underscores its commitment to capturing growth opportunities in both established and emerging markets. Asia remains a cornerstone of Accor’s global development strategy, as the company continues to expand its diverse brand portfolio and redefine hospitality experiences to meet the evolving ways people travel, work, and live.

A significant portion of this growth is driven by Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy (PM&E) brands, supported by strong demand and shifting travel trends across the region. Conversion-friendly brands like Mercure and Handwritten Collection continue to gain traction, while ibis and ibis Styles further strengthen Accor’s footprint in the economy segment by delivering affordability and comfort. The premium segment, led by Pullman, Mövenpick, Grand Mercure, and Swissôtel, continues to expand into high-growth destinations across Asia.

In 2025, this growth translated into a wave of new signings across multiple markets. Indonesia led with seven new projects, including Swissôtel Bali Nusa Dua, while Thailand and Laos welcomed five new signings featuring Mercure Phuket, the first Handwritten Collection in Bangkok, and an ibis in Vientiane. The Philippines secured four new hotels, such as Mercure Mactan Cebu and ibis Styles Clark, reflecting growing demand in secondary cities. India saw expansion in emerging urban hubs like Dehradun and Indore with Pullman, Novotel, and ibis, while Vietnam reached a milestone with its largest Mövenpick development — a 1,000-key resort in Danang. Japan will also see a new co-branded Mercure Tokyu Stay Hiroshima opening soon.

Accor’s lifestyle division, represented by Ennismore, also saw dynamic progress. The company announced the signing of the first Rixos all-inclusive resort in Asia, set to open on Vietnam’s Hon Thom Island with over 1,300 rooms and world-class leisure facilities. Other notable projects include Mondrian Maldives, scheduled to open in 2026 on Kuredhivaru Island, and Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum, which will bring the brand’s signature playful and community-driven energy to the Thai capital. In the luxury segment, Accor signed the Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences in Northern Vietnam — a landmark development featuring 176 rooms and 436 residences, set to open in 2030.

Several notable openings in 2025 further cemented Accor’s leadership in Asia. These include the Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel and Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpole, both showcasing the brand’s refreshed identity, and Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, introducing the extended-stay concept to the region. TRIBE Phuket Patong made its debut in Thailand, while Novotel New Delhi City Centre added modern hospitality to India’s capital. Upcoming launches before the year ends include Grand Mercure Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, Novotel Bali Ubud Resort, and Hotel Waterloo Singapore – Handwritten Collection.

Accor is also expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio with several prestigious openings. Raffles Sentosa Singapore opened as one of Asia’s most exclusive resort destinations, while Raffles Tokyo, scheduled for 2028, will bring legendary service and panoramic skyline views to Japan’s capital. Fairmont continues its resurgence with new openings in Mumbai and Tokyo, combining local artistry with timeless elegance. Future Fairmont properties in Hanoi and Bangkok are set to follow in 2026, further enhancing the brand’s presence in the region. Meanwhile, Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong, opening in 2026, will introduce French sophistication to Vietnam’s Diamond Crown complex — featuring 231 rooms, 180 serviced apartments, and world-class amenities at the top of a 45-story tower.

Reflecting on the Group’s exceptional progress, Andrew Langdon, Accor’s Chief Development Officer, Asia, shared, “We are confident of another record year of signings, marking an incredible third consecutive year of growth for Accor in Asia. Our momentum in 2025 reflects both the resilience of Asia’s travel and hospitality industry and the opportunities created by shifting market dynamics. By harnessing the strength of our diverse brand portfolio and deepening trusted partnerships with owners, we are well-positioned to lead the next era of hospitality in the region.”

Through its strategic developments and brand diversification, Accor continues to set new standards for innovation, sustainability, and guest experience in Asia — reinforcing its status as one of the world’s most dynamic and forward-thinking hospitality leaders.
