Liberty Makes Insurance More Accessible with the New RAHMAH Coverage Plan. As the cost of living continues to climb, ensuring that Malaysians have access to affordable protection has become more crucial than ever. In line with this need, Liberty General Insurance Berhad (Liberty), in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), has launched the RAHMAH Insurance Plan — a new initiative aimed at making essential insurance protection more affordable and accessible to all.

The RAHMAH Insurance Plan, approved under the purview of Yang Berhormat Datuk Armizan Bin Mohd Ali, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, represents Liberty’s continued partnership with the government to support national efforts under the broader RAHMAH initiative. This initiative focuses on making vital goods and services more attainable, particularly for lower-income households, gig workers, and small business owners who are often uninsured or underinsured.

Designed with simplicity and practicality in mind, the RAHMAH Insurance Plan provides dual protection through two key products — auto365 Comprehensive Lite and Right Cover Personal Accident. Together, these plans offer essential coverage for both vehicles and individuals, ensuring comprehensive protection at an affordable cost.

The auto365 Comprehensive Lite plan provides fundamental motor insurance coverage that includes protection against loss or damage due to accidents, fire, or theft, as well as liability to third parties for bodily injury, death, or property damage. The plan also includes accident towing assistance of up to RM200, with the flexibility to enhance protection through add-ons such as Personal Accident, All Drivers, and Breakdown Towing Assistance.

Meanwhile, Right Cover Personal Accident offers 24-hour worldwide protection against accidental death and permanent disablement. With premiums starting as low as RM13 per year, the plan provides additional benefits, including a bereavement allowance, making it an accessible safety net for individuals and families alike.

Puneet Pasricha (Pasha), Chief Executive Officer of Liberty General Insurance Berhad, emphasized the company’s mission to bridge the gap between affordability and protection for Malaysians. “We understand that for many, even a minor accident or unforeseen expense can be a major setback with a lasting impact on their livelihood,” he shared. “Through the RAHMAH Insurance Plan, we aim to offer basic yet vital protection for both their vehicles and themselves — giving them peace of mind and helping them maintain dignity in times of uncertainty.”

Available through Liberty’s online platform, authorised agents, POS Malaysia outlets, and branch offices nationwide, the RAHMAH Insurance Plan underscores Liberty’s long-term commitment to financial inclusion and protection for all Malaysians. By raising awareness and promoting affordable insurance options, Liberty continues to support the government’s efforts to improve quality of life and ensure that every Malaysian — regardless of income level — has access to the protection they deserve.
