The 11th Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) will take place from 22 to 24 May 2025 at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition and Convention Center. Spanning 50,000 sqm of exhibition space, the event will feature over 720 exhibitors, showcasing the latest advancements in Southwest China’s automotive industry, with a particular focus on new energy and connectivity. In addition to the exhibition, more than 20 fringe events centered around technological innovation and AI will take place, aiming to drive the transformation and sustainable growth of the regional automotive market through valuable business exchange, trade investment, and collaboration between industry and education.
A Key Automotive Hub: The Sichuan-Chongqing Region
As one of China’s six major automotive manufacturing hubs, the Sichuan-Chongqing region continues to play a pivotal role in vehicle manufacturing and battery technology. In 2024, the region produced 3.43 million vehicles, including 1.087 million new energy vehicles. With rapid economic growth and untapped consumer potential in Southwest China, CAPAS 2025 is set to showcase a record number of brands, offering solutions across new energy, connectivity, electric commercial vehicles, parts and components, and vehicle customisation. The fair will provide a dynamic platform for exhibitors to expand their business, share insights, and explore opportunities in both domestic and international markets.
Spotlight on Technological Innovations
At this year’s CAPAS, new energy vehicles and connected mobility will take center stage, highlighting the latest breakthroughs in three-electric systems, core components, autonomous driving, and connected technologies. Industry leaders such as Feng Chuan Powertrain, GRESGYING, Kaiyi Auto, and Sichuan New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center will unveil innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for sustainable and intelligent automotive products.
Notably, Zhi Li Wu Lian will present lithium battery solutions featuring cloud control and lifecycle data management, enhancing both safety and efficiency. Meanwhile, Aierfu will showcase its R-EPS/C-EPS precision steering systems for autonomous vehicles, pushing the boundaries of smart driving.
In addition, traditional component manufacturers are embracing technological advancements. SDS will introduce an electronic disconnect differential (EDD) designed to reduce energy consumption, noise, and vibration. Wonder Halla will debut its flat copper wire motor for enhanced performance, alongside a one-way clutch pulley. Established brands like Eastern Turbocharge, Faret, Honeywell, Ironstamp, New SORL, Phoenix, Ruili, Ruiming, Sumax, XKE, and Yihong will also leverage the CAPAS platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies and expand their global reach.
New Energy Commercial Vehicles: A Green Future for Logistics
As Sichuan solidifies its position as a logistics hub in China, the demand for green logistics and new energy commercial vehicles is booming. This growth, fueled by government subsidies and expanding charging infrastructure, is driving the transformation of Southwest China’s logistics sector. In the first five months of 2024, heavy-duty truck sales in the region ranked second in the country.
At CAPAS 2025, over 50% of exhibitors will present products related to commercial vehicles, covering vehicle manufacturing, components, and aftermarket services. Geely, Hyundai Commercial Vehicle, Dongjia New Energy, SINOTRUK, Easyland, and others will showcase innovations in electric heavy-duty trucks, intercity light trucks for cold chain logistics, and aftermarket solutions, all aimed at advancing sustainable development in the sector.
Geely will debut Farizon, an electric light truck designed for short-distance logistics, while Hyundai Commercial Vehicle will unveil hydrogen fuel cell light trucks with long-range batteries and high loading capacities, promising a low-carbon, cost-effective fleet. Easyland will introduce a high-flow parallel air compressor designed to enhance the performance of hydrogen fuel cells.
Embracing Southwest China’s Unique Automotive Culture
The distinctive landscape and culture of Southwest China have spurred the growth of off-roading, racing, and vehicle customisation, fueling demand for unique automotive experiences. The Car Customising Festival returns to CAPAS with an exciting lineup, including off-roading, racing simulations, and anime-inspired customisation. Visitors can expect custom vehicle displays, interactive gaming, racing products, and immersive experiences at the Tianfu International Circuit, providing a unique opportunity for car enthusiasts to engage with the automotive culture.
The accessories market is also shifting towards eco-conscious and health-focused upgrades. The Accessories & Customising zone will feature brands like Biaobang, Goodyear, Veslee, and Botny, offering low-carbon products for car care and car wash, alongside customised premium films for vehicle wrapping.

Innovation and AI Take Center Stage with Diverse Fringe Events
As the automotive industry evolves, the aftermarket is demanding higher levels of innovation, digital expertise, and skilled talent. CAPAS 2025 will host a series of events dedicated to AI applications and technological innovation, helping businesses stay ahead of industry trends. For example, the Southwest Automotive Aftermarket Development Conference 2025 will bring together experts, brands, distributors, and repair workshops to discuss key topics like AI diagnostics and regional market trends.
The New Energy Vehicle Industry-Education Integration Zone will promote collaboration between industry and academia, featuring hands-on training, workshops, and recruitment sessions. This initiative aims to address talent shortages by enhancing workforce skills in line with the growing demands of the new energy vehicle market.
Other notable events include the Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket Development Conference, which will focus on electrification in the logistics sector, and the China Automotive Industry Supply Chain International Cooperation Conference, which will cover supply chain security, sustainability, and international cooperation.
