PIKOM Golf Invitational & Charity Drive 2025 Tees Off with Purpose and Passion. The lush fairways of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort played host to more than just a golf tournament—it was a day where camaraderie, competition, and compassion came together at the PIKOM Golf Invitational & Charity Drive 2025. Organised by PIKOM, the National Tech Association of Malaysia, the annual event has become a highly anticipated occasion on the tech and business community calendar, drawing 138 enthusiastic golfers from across the industry for a day that blended sporting excellence with philanthropic purpose.
The atmosphere was vibrant from the first tee-off to the final putt, filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, and a strong spirit of unity. Players competed across various categories, with standout performances from Anand Panchalingam, William Tan, Kimmy Liao, and Wong Chee Voon, who clinched the Longest Drive title. While competition was fierce, the true heart of the event lay in its charitable mission.
This year’s charity drive successfully raised RM45,000, which was equally distributed to three deserving beneficiaries: Persatuan Ibu Tunggal Murum Belaga in Sarawak, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah, and Persatuan Kebajikan dan Sosial Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur (Kebso.life). Each organisation received RM15,000, continuing PIKOM’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility and making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
Over the years, the PIKOM Golf Invitational & Charity Drive has collectively raised more than RM1 million for charitable causes, underscoring the generosity and solidarity of Malaysia’s tech and business ecosystem. PIKOM Chairman Alex Liew reflected on the spirit of the event, stating, “The PIKOM Golf Invitational is more than a tournament—it’s where industry leaders connect, friendships are forged, and most importantly, we come together to make a difference. This event reflects the spirit of our members—not just in driving innovation, but in shaping a more compassionate and connected Malaysia.”
The event concluded with a celebratory dinner and prize presentation ceremony, where 27 lucky draw winners took home exciting prizes. Beyond the trophies and awards, the evening offered an opportunity for attendees to relax, network, and strengthen industry ties after a day filled with energy and purpose.
PIKOM extended its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, partners, and sponsors for their unwavering support, which made the 2025 edition of the Golf Invitational & Charity Drive another remarkable success. With the sun setting on a fulfilling day, anticipation is already building for next year’s event—promising even bigger swings, stronger connections, and an even greater impact on communities nationwide.
