In line with China’s efforts to enhance energy efficiency and achieve carbon neutrality, the 22nd edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 9 – 12 June 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. This year’s event will focus on green and low-carbon advancements in intelligent building, running concurrently with the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE). The exhibition will showcase smart power distribution, smart lighting, home automation, and low-carbon intelligent building solutions, providing an essential platform for industry collaboration.
In mid-2024, the Chinese government introduced policies encouraging the application of intelligent technologies to drive the green and low-carbon transformation of various industries. These initiatives emphasize low-energy buildings, advanced power supply systems, and sustainable living solutions. The National Development and Reform Commission of China, in collaboration with other departments, issued guidelines to support green building technology adoption, particularly in the construction and clean energy sectors, to foster healthier living environments.
Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, emphasized the role of emerging technologies in shaping the industry. She stated, “The rapid advancement of 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and the metaverse is driving innovation across the sector. As a key communication platform, GEBT 2025 will highlight new opportunities in low-carbon intelligent building and smart power distribution, paving the way for a more sustainable future.” The upcoming edition will introduce dedicated zones showcasing cutting-edge energy-saving and low-carbon building technologies.
New thematic exhibition zones will be featured at this year’s event to highlight energy innovations. The Smart Power Distribution Zone will showcase smart power distribution systems, hybrid power supply, integrated power generation, grid management, and renewable energy systems. The Generic Cabling Zone will focus on the role of cabling in intelligent buildings, home automation, and IoT applications. The Building Control and Energy Management Zone will display building monitoring systems, energy-saving solutions, energy storage technology, and power quality management. The Intelligent Building Supply Chain Consulting Zone will provide industry professionals with insights and resources for effective decision-making.
To encourage knowledge-sharing, GEBT 2025 will collaborate with Qianjia Smartech to host a series of engaging forums featuring industry experts. Key discussions will cover AI applications in intelligent building, trends in dual-carbon strategies, smart commercial space, and home automation. Notable events include the China (Guangzhou) Integrators’ Conference 2025, which will bring together integrators, government officials, project managers, architects, and industry professionals to discuss how intelligent system integration can enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit 2025 will address AI-driven energy-saving strategies, innovative automation solutions, and emerging trends in intelligent building technology. Emerging Trends & Highlights in Intelligent Building 2025 will explore new products, technologies, and solutions, along with case studies demonstrating real-world applications. The AI+ Low-Carbon Intelligent Building Summit will discuss AI-driven business models and their role in supporting green and intelligent transformation.
GEBT 2025 continues to promote cross-sector cooperation, offering a business platform for exhibitors to showcase innovations and services. The exhibition is part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs, including the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany, scheduled for 8 – 13 March 2026.
Messe Frankfurt also organizes specialized trade fairs in Asia, including Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Parking China. Additionally, its lighting and building technology fairs cover markets in Argentina, India, Türkiye, the UAE, and the USA.
