Malaysia’s beloved homegrown ice cream brand, Inside Scoop, is celebrating Merdeka in the sweetest way possible with the return of its highly anticipated Lokal Legends collection. Now in its second edition, the campaign marks the nation’s 68th year of independence with six bold and flavour-packed creations, each co-created with iconic Malaysian brands that have long been part of our everyday lives. Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s collection, this year’s line-up transforms nostalgic snacks, drinks, and treats into handcrafted ice creams that honour Malaysia’s vibrant culinary heritage.

Founded in Bangsar in 2013, Inside Scoop has remained true to its identity — proudly born in Malaysia and made for Malaysians. With more than 200 unique flavours created over the years, the brand has continuously drawn inspiration from the snacks and desserts that connect Malaysians across generations. The 2025 Lokal Legends collection continues that legacy, offering six exciting new scoops that celebrate beloved local favourites. Among them is Gardenia’s Twiggies Choc-A-Lot, a creamy milk chocolate ice cream loaded with bite-sized chunks of the classic childhood snack, and GSC’s Caramel Popcorn, a tribute to the aroma and joy of movie nights, with swirls of salted caramel and buttered pecans. Fans of zesty treats can look forward to Julie’s Le-mond Lemon, where bright lemon ice cream is blended with tangy sandwich crackers and citrus curd, while chocolate lovers will enjoy the decadent Beryl’s Gula Melaka Chocolate, which combines rich gula melaka chocolate ice cream with buttery crumble and crunchy chocolate layers. Coffee enthusiasts are not left out, with ZUS Coffee’s Spanish Latté capturing the brand’s signature espresso drink in ice cream form, balanced with condensed milk and chocolate-coated cones. Rounding off the line-up is Farm Fresh’s Choco Malt Kaw, a bolder, fudgier take on last year’s favourite, packed with extra chocolate swirls and crunchy malt for a nostalgic yet intense experience.
