Media Prima Television Networks (MPTN) received three honours at the national level of the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) 2022, which were just revealed. Tinta Syurga (TV3), 999 “Jenayah Banjir” (TV3), and “My Dream, My Wish” (TV3) received these honours (8TV). This achievement keeps Media Prima Television Networks qualified to compete in The Grand Awards and Gala Finals against programmes from more than ten other Asian Pacific nations. This important event will take place on the 7th and 8th of December in Singapore’s Chijmes Hall.

Tinta Syurga, a special documentary about Nuzul Al-Quran, was awarded the winner of the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Award for Best Documentary Program (One-Off). The Goddess of Creativity Award category has also included a nomination for Tinta Syurga. The documentary Tinta Syurga discusses the task of creating a mushaf (a written copy of the Qur’an hand) for Al-Quran printing in Malaysia. Before the Al-Quran was printed, manuscripts of the Al-Quran were written by hand on an A1-sized page.

The Asian Academy Creative Award 2022’s Best Current Affairs award went to the crime-focused programme 999. A major flood that flooded Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam at the end of last year caused several criminal acts to be featured in the episode of Program 999 called “Flood Crime,” which received a lot of attention. Some premises were broken into, and an attempt was made to rob an ATM machine at the same time. This resulted in a lot of property damages in the neighborhood. In addition, when a strong flood suddenly hits this area, there were individuals who took advantage of the flood victims by fleeing their cars that were stranded in the water.

The 8TV production, My Dream, My Wish was also awarded the Best Single Drama/Telemovie/Anthology Episode. The character Chang Yong, a graduate who was unemployed during the pandemic and determined to carry out his father’s final wish, helped grow his family’s pau manufacturing business. Chang Yong learns how to be a more responsible person and becomes closer to his mother and sister throughout the experience and journey with his late father, who continues to appear in reality.

Congratulations to the production crew of Tinta Syurga (TV3), 999 ‘Jenayah Banjir’ (TV3) and My Dream, My Wish (8TV) who have successfully represented Malaysia at the national level of the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) 2022. Be sure to catch the announcement of the winners at the Asian Academy Awards Gala Night Creative Awards 2022, which will be held on 7th and 8th December in Chijmes Hall, Singapore.
