RHB AND IJN PARTNER - BOOST NATIONAL WELLBEINGRHB AND IJN PARTNER - BOOST NATIONAL WELLBEING

RHB and IJN Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance National Wellbeing Through Healthcare, Education, and Financial Empowerment. RHB Banking Group (RHB) and Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) have signed a strategic three-year agreement to collaborate on wide-ranging initiatives that address the interconnected pillars of healthcare, education, and financial empowerment. This partnership is designed to enhance community wellbeing across Malaysia, particularly among underserved and rural populations.

A key component of the collaboration is the deployment of a mobile healthcare clinic. This initiative aims to expand access to preventive healthcare services, including medical screenings and health awareness programmes, bringing vital resources directly to communities that often face barriers to such services. Complementing the health services, RHB will also utilize the mobile unit to deliver financial literacy education, advisory services, and social empowerment activities. This integrated approach provides a one-stop platform for improving both physical and financial health among Malaysians.

Further strengthening the educational aspect of the partnership is the launch of the ‘IJN University College (IJNUC) Siswa’ programme, spearheaded by RHB Islamic Bank. The programme empowers students of IJN University College with RHB Pro Savings Accounts, which come with automatic access to RHB’s mobile banking services and DuitNow QR e-wallet capabilities. This initiative supports cashless transactions and promotes digital banking adoption among youth. Over 900 students annually are expected to benefit, along with exclusive discounts from RHB’s strategic partners across telecommunications, food, and sports-related services.

Dato’ Mohd Rashid Mohamad, Group Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of RHB Banking Group, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Healthcare and education are cornerstones of a resilient society. By combining our respective strengths, we are better positioned to extend critical support to underserved communities while empowering the broader ecosystem of students, employees, and customers connected to both our organisations.”

Echoing this sentiment, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohamed Ezani Md Taib, Group CEO of IJN, highlighted the impact of the initiative, noting that IJN’s mobile clinic has already reached 192 communities across 10 states. With RHB’s support, these services can now be extended to more locations, enhancing access to essential screenings and health education. He also underscored the educational value of the partnership, describing it as an investment in future healthcare leaders who will benefit from digital financial tools and real-world preparedness.

The partnership also introduces exclusive health screening packages for RHB employees and special privileges on IJN services for selected RHB customer segments. Joint wellness campaigns will be conducted in schools, communities, and rural areas to further drive national wellbeing.

This comprehensive collaboration between RHB and IJN represents a significant step towards building a more inclusive, healthier, and financially empowered Malaysia.
