Famous vocalist Ernie Zakri has been recognized in Indonesia as the initial homegrown artist to secure a nomination at the esteemed SCTV Music Awards, hosted by a local television network. During the event, Ernie Zakri found herself nominated in three categories, drawing parallels with the acclaimed musician, Ade Govinda for their collaboration on the song ‘Masing Masing’.
The category consists of the most popular collaborations, the most popular video clips, and the most popular pop songs. More proudly, the song ‘Masing Masing’, a collaboration between Universal Music Malaysia and MyMusic Records that was composed and written by Ade and Nabila V, took the top of the charts of radio stations in both countries, namely GEN98.7 FM Jakarta in Indonesia also Best FM and Era FM in Malaysia. Thank you very much to this radio stations that managed to capture the intriguing essence of this ‘Masing Masing’s song.
Ernie, who also won Best Vocal Performance in Song (Wanita) at ‘Anugerah Industri Muzik’ (AIM) 2022, said she is grateful and proud that Masing Masing’s song was well received by fans in Indonesia. “I am very happy that my song reached Indonesia. It’s so delightful to see it whistle with the listeners there. Thank you Indonesia, for accepting ‘Masing-Masing’ and making it rise on your radio chart,” she said.
For Ade Govinda, the collaboration with Ernie was a pretty sweet and great experience. “I also represent MyMusic Records very happy to hear the news that my song entitled ‘Masing Masing’ which was beautifully sung by Ernie Zakri, succeeded in occupying the first place on most of the radio charts in Indonesia and Malaysia.
