With a remarkable edutainment event named Sound Spirit Zainalabidin: The Legacy of Sound (Sound Spirit), renowned vocalist Datuk Zainalabidin Mohamed—a legend in the music industry—is poised to captivate spectators. The Kuala Lumpur Perfoming Arts (klpac) will host this unique event on Saturday, January 20, 2024. With a special focus on students from B40 backgrounds, Sound Spirit aims to provide underprivileged music students with the opportunity to experience the transformative impact of music and arts. Sound Spirit has partnered with five top local universities, including the University of Technology MARA, the University of Malaya, UCSI University, Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA), and Limkokwing University, that will actively promote the event among their students, particularly those enrolled in music courses.
Datuk Zainalabidin believes that exposure to such cultural events can have a lasting positive impact on their lives, offering inspiration and joy that may otherwise be challenging to access. He said the concert is a testament to the power of musi as a force for positibe change, uniting people from all walks of life in a celebration of art and culture.
