    Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the cabinet reshuffle at 11 a.m. this morning in his office before attending the ceremony of awarding the letters of appointment, taking the oath of office and loyalty, and the Federal Minister’s oath of secrecy, which will begin at 2.30 p.m. later.

    Anwar also had time to share about the new cabinet members, which totaled 60 people, but the total number of cabinet members is still low when compared to the 70 members of the cabinet during the previous administration.

    Thus, there are five new ministers who were appointed as members of the new ministerial congregation, namely, Gobind Singh Deo, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Datuk Seri Johari Ghani, Steven Sim, and Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan. Meanwhile, the minister who was dropped from the cabinet was YB Sivakumar a/l Varathraju.

    The total number of ministers increased from 28 to 31.

    Meanwhile, the five new deputy ministers are Datuk Seri Noraini Ahmad, M Kulasegaran, Dato Ramanan, Wong Kah Woh, and Dr. Zulkifli Hassan, who replaced two deputy ministers who were dropped, namely, Ramkarpal Singh and Datuk Siti Aminah Aching.

    Thus, the total number of deputy ministers increased from 27 to less than 29 people.

    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development: Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi

    Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development: YB Datuk Hajah Rubiah Wang

    Deputy Prime Minister II and Minister of Energy Transition and Public Utilities: Dato’ Sri Fadhilah Yusof

    Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Public Utilities: YB Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir

    Foreign Minister: Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hassan

    Minister of Communications: YB Fahmi Fadzil

    Deputy Minister of Communications: YB Teo Nie Ching

    Minister of Higher Education: Dato Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir

    Digital Minister: YB Gobind Singh Deo

    Health Minister: Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad

    Minister in JPM (Federal Territory): YB Dr. Zaliha Mustafa
