KULIM — Marking a major milestone in Northern Malaysia’s industrial landscape, CelcomDigi Berhad has officially joined forces with Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (KTPC) through a landmark 15-year strategic partnership. Formalized on November 2, 2026, the collaboration is designed to deploy cutting-edge fiber-optic infrastructure across Industrial Zone Phase 4A (IZP 4A) of the renowned Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), providing the robust digital backbone required by next-generation manufacturers and high-tech enterprises.
Since its inception in 1996, KHTP has evolved into a premier premier industrial hub in Kedah, amassing a staggering RM189.4 billion in cumulative investments and generating 48,813 job opportunities by the second quarter of 2026. As the park continues its rapid expansion, high-capacity and reliable connectivity has become an absolute operational necessity. Through this long-term agreement, CelcomDigi will manage the fiber-optic trenching and infrastructure at IZP 4A while delivering an extensive suite of enterprise solutions—including Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Private Leased Lines (PLL), IPVPN, Managed DWDM, and Managed Fibre services tailored to tenant demands.
This collaboration aligns seamlessly with the broader developmental aspirations of the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), encompassing Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and Perak. KTPC Group Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Mohd Sahil Zabidi emphasized that equipping IZP 4A with world-class digital infrastructure ensures an optimal ecosystem for business growth and regional prosperity. Echoing this sentiment, CelcomDigi Chief Enterprise Business Officer T Kugan highlighted that robust digital connectivity serves as a vital catalyst for national economic competitiveness, empowering industries to scale efficiently and reinforcing Malaysia’s digital future.
